15 Lightyears is expanding its team and is looking for a Business Development Manager. This position holds a pivotal role within our company, tasked with overseeing essential functions critical to our growth and success. Collaborating closely with the CEO, they play a central role in fostering strong client relationships. This position serves as a direct report to the CEO.
Location: 15 lightyears office located in Longwood, FL. Job will require some travel.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours for events and networking.

Responsibilities Include:
- Research and identify new market opportunities, potential clients, and partnerships to expand the company's reach.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Conduct research to understand market trends, competitors, and customer needs, providing insights to shape product and service offerings.
- Create compelling business proposals, sales presentations, and pitches tailored to prospective clients.
- Oversee the implementation of business development projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Track sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies to achieve targets.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the company, build connections, and generate leads.
- Prepare reports on business development activities, progress, and results, presenting findings to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably 3+ years.
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts and close sales, with a deep understanding of the sales process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to present to clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and expand the company’s network.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess markets, clients’ needs, and competitors.
- Willingness to travel as needed for meetings, conferences, and client interactions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or similar software.
