Overview:

15 lightyears is looking for a full-time Solar Installer (Minimum 2 to 4 Years Experience Required) to join our team. As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. Our Solar Installers are a vital part of our organization and we take pride in hiring and training the best.

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: 15 lightyears corporate office located in Longwood, FL. Job is performed in several counties across Orlando, Florida.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday and optional Saturdays as needed. Potential for overtime is available.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay: $20/hour

Responsibilities Include:

• Work with a team installing solar PV and thermal systems on residential and commercial properties
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
• Pre-assemble job components in warehouse
• Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware
• Communicate regularly with team members to ensure projects are moving along safely, quickly, and efficiently
• Must maintain a safe work environment, and will be expected to follow Solar Impact and OSHA required safety protocols at all times
• Review projects post install to determine areas for efficiency improvement
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of company vehicle and warehouse at HQ
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
• Arrive on-time and ready to perform daily work
• Ability to self-manage time and job tasks effectively

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 - 4 Years experience as Solar Installer
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Commitment to performing high quality work.
• Ability to work well with smartphone apps and tablets.
• Excellent service and respect towards customers and crew members.
• Must be comfortable climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and regularly lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in reasonable weather conditions.
• Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs.
• Performing repetitive duties including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with safe and responsible driving record.
• All Crew members must be able to pass drug tests and background checks.
