Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision testing and prototype hardware at short notice.
- Perform precision setups on a variety of state-of-the-art CNC equipment.
- Prioritize daily machine tasks to maintain high machine uptime and throughput.
- Manage CNC cutting tools, ensuring appropriate tools are installed, measured, and prepared in advance of upcoming programs.
- Perform in-process deburring of machined components and contribute to on-time delivery.
- Use clean line equipment, laser part marking tools, and apply required part finishing techniques.
- Utilize calibrated measurement devices to verify conformity to print and specification requirements.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC machines (weekly/monthly).
- Support general shop maintenance and housekeeping, including chip bin management and 5S implementation.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic environment and support peers as needed.
- Accurately complete required work instructions, quality logs, and test plans.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in CNC programming (e.g., G-code, CAM software).
- Strong grasp of shop mathematics, blueprint reading, tooling technologies, and part measurement techniques.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret technical documentation.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Must be able to do repetitive movement; bend or twist; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; exposure to sounds and distractive noise levels
