About the role

The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of engineering and technical documentation across the organization. This role involves ensuring documentation complies with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and supports clear communication across cross-functional teams. Preferred candidates will have experience with Siemens Teamcenter or other PLM/document control systems.

What you'll do

  • Maintain, organize, and manage controlled documents within the document management system (preferably Siemens Teamcenter).
  • Track, review, and route documents for approval, revision, and archival in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate document numbering, formatting, and metadata to ensure consistency and traceability.
  • Work with engineering, quality, regulatory, and project teams to ensure timely documentation support and updates.
  • Assist in the development and editing of technical documents, specifications, procedures, and forms.
  • Support audits, inspections, and configuration control processes.
  • Develop and maintain document control procedures and workflows.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communications, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in document control, configuration management, or technical writing within a regulated or engineering-focused industry.
  • Proficient in technical writing, editing, and formatting documents with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or a comparable PLM/document control platform strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ISO, or DOE/NRC documentation requirements is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of change management workflows and revision control systems.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams in highly regulated environments.
  • Understanding of drawing and specification control, including revision history and distribution management.
