Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze technical codes, standards (10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME BPVC Sec III & VIII), and customer requirements to develop robust quality programs.
  • Create, document, and implement quality procedures and protocols within manufacturing processes.
  • Clearly communicate and defend quality programs during audits conducted by regulatory agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers, providing insights into mechanical design implications related to quality assurance.
  • Act as a liaison among auditors, regulators, customers, and internal teams, translating complex technical and quality compliance information clearly and effectively.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with established quality programs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage corrective and preventive action process to correct nonconformances and drive improvement of the management system.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience implementing, managing and auditing quality management systems
  • Experience with ISO standards (e.g. ISO9001), AS9100, or other industry-specific quality requirements.

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting regulatory codes and standards to develop quality assurance programs from scratch.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including engineers, auditors, regulators, and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and the ability to confidently defend procedures and practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering (e.g., CQE) or relevant professional credentials.
