As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be at the epicenter of our engineering operations, playing a pivotal role in shaping the technical landscape of our products. Beyond just writing code, this position is about providing technical leadership, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring the next generation of engineers. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Play a leading role in architectural discussions, ensuring that our software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
- Code Excellence: Develop high-quality software with an emphasis on automation, performance, and user experience.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaboration: Engage closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features that drive our business metrics.
- Strategic Input: Contribute to the software roadmap, bringing in innovative ideas and technologies that have significant impact.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for best practices in software development, ensuring our methodologies stay up to date with the latest industry trends.
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex software challenges and guide the team in overcoming technical roadblocks.
Required Qualifications:
- Full stack engineer and technical leader.
- Software, Systems, and Network design experience.
- Expert in C/C++, and proficient in Golang.
- Expert-level experience with Linux systems.
- Experience with user-space (kernel bypass) packet processing.
- Experience with network load testing and evaluation.
- Experience with high-speed networks and fiber optics.
- Knowledge about network design, network overlays, and virtual networks.
- Knowledge about network protocols, routing, and traffic management.
- Specific experience with DPDK is a bonus.
- Specific experience with NVIDIA / Mellanox ConnectX cards is a bonus.
- Specific knowledge of Debian software packaging and Ubuntu.
