About the role


The Receiving Associate at AA Medical plays a vital role in the smooth operation of the company's warehouse by accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments of medical devices. This position collaborates closely with the Shipping, Testing, and Inventory Management teams to ensure efficient inventory flow and the delivery of high-quality refurbished medical devices to customers. The Receiving Associate is responsible for verifying shipments, maintaining documentation, and communicating effectively with internal departments.


What you'll do


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receive incoming shipments of medical devices, components, and materials.
  • Inspect shipments for accuracy, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Verify shipment contents against accompanying paperwork, purchase orders, and packing lists.
  • Quality Inspection:
    • Collaborate with the Testing team to ensure received devices meet quality standards and are ready for refurbishment or resale.
    • Identify and document any defects, damages, or discrepancies in received items.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate receiving records, including item details, quantities, and shipment information.
    • Complete and organize all necessary paperwork, such as receiving reports, inspection forms, and documentation of any discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with the Inventory Management team to update inventory counts based on received shipments.
    • Ensure proper storage and organization of received items in designated warehouse areas.
    • Communicate with the Shipping team to coordinate the transfer of items from receiving to shipping for outbound orders.
    • Collaborate with the Testing team to address any quality concerns or issues with received items.
    • Notify relevant departments about any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments.
    • Maintain a well-organized receiving area to facilitate easy access and retrieval of items.
    • Prioritize and manage incoming shipments to ensure timely processing and minimal disruption to operations.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling, unpacking, and storing items.
    • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.


Bonus Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or a related field, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting and documenting received items.
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if required and certified).
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate discrepancies.
  • Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights.
  • Understanding of quality control processes and product inspection.
  • RF Scanning experience
