SUMMARY:
The Receptionist/Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for clients, providing excellent customer service, and collaborating closely with other scheduling staff. The Receptionist/Care Coordinator will be responsible for answering telephones, scheduling client services, performing insurance verification, confirming and rescheduling client appointments, greeting and assisting client during check-in, and obtaining client documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision Given:
The Receptionist/Care Coordinator does not supervise.
Supervision Received:
The Receptionist/Care Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager/Assigned Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Receptionist/Care Coordinator must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office and ability to utilize online EHR platforms. The Receptionist must also understand and follow HIPAA compliance.
Education:
A High school diploma with experience noted below is required. An associate’s degree in a Healthcare related field is preferred.
Certification:
None Required
Experience/Skills:
Prior experience in appointment scheduling, customer service, or a related field is preferred.9
Physical Effort:
Requires sitting for long periods of time, viewing computer monitors, and keyboarding and must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Background:
Must pass all Federal and State background checks. Other background checks will be conducted for licensures and certifications according to company policy.
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
