The Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Computer Science Content Coach to support Graduation Candidates (GCs) in mastering computer science coursework in a flexible, personalized learning environment. This role is ideal for a certified teacher who is passionate about helping young people grow and succeed, particularly in a virtual or hybrid educational setting. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic coaching and instructional support in computer science for high school students.
• Collaborate with staff and content teams to ensure alignment with curriculum and state standards.
• Offer one-on-one or small group support sessions, helping students grasp key concepts, improve skills, and complete assignments.
• Track student progress and communicate concerns or trends to leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of student interaction and provide ongoing academic feedback.
• Support a growth mindset and culturally responsive teaching practices.

Academics

• Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings
• Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments
• Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
• Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities to address learning gaps and accelerate success
• Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events

What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Master's preferred
Licensure: Nevada 6-12 secondary certification in Computer Science (REQUIRED)
Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)
Skills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills
Passion: A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
• Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models
• Experience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based education
• Strong comfort with educational technology tools and platforms
