Project Manager

Clearance: Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferred but not required. Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team to manage a high-performing software development team delivering mission essential software capabilities to the Navy and other defense customers. As a Project Manager you will lead a team supporting the design, development, and integration of sophisticated defense software systems. You will be responsible for project cost, schedule and performance and will be the primary manager of the client relationship.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a software development and modernization project focused on transitioning legacy software development processes to software pipeline incorporating Agile and DevSecOps processes
  • Manage project cost, schedule and performance
  • Utilize Agile management processes to perform agile ceremonies and develop associated documentation (e.g., agile roadmaps, sprint plans, retrospectives)
  • Brief both government clients and firm leadership on project status and health
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and integration engineers, to develop innovative solutions that meet safety, security, and performance standards.


Required Experience:

  • Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance (or able to obtain one).
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, systems engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on software development for defense systems.
  • Experience with Agile and DevSecOps software development processes.
  • Experience and familiarity with managing federal contracts.
  • Experience with DoD cyber and software security processes.
  • Strong understanding of defense systems, and software integration processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior government personnel.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to support travel up to 25% of the time.


Preferred Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with defense acquisition processes and frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Navy program offices.
  • Familiarity with aviation and missile systems.


Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Work Environment & Remote Meeting Expectations: Our work environment operates on a remote/hybrid model, balancing flexibility with the need for in-person collaboration. Employees are expected to work in-office on designated days to foster engagement with the team. Outside of these days, employees may telework with supervisor approval, provided they adhere to communication protocols and effectively fulfill their work responsibilities. Travel may be required to customer and subcontractor sites, as well as other office locations.

The pay range for this role is:

125,000 - 190,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
