PLM, Project Manager

The PLM Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system implementations within an advanced Software and Enterprise Solutions team to support our US Dept of Defense customers. This role involves managing PLM application development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align business needs with technical solutions. The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience managing engineering/manufacturing enterprise system-related projects, with at least 3 years of experience with PLM implementation projects. They should have a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for PLM project stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and the technical delivery team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage PLM implementations, data migrations, and enhancement projects from initiation through sustainment.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies as appropriate.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, system administrators, and architects to deliver high-quality PLM solutions.
  • Oversee testing activities, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure system performance and compliance.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Drive resource onboarding to streamline standup and sustainment of technical project team throughout the project duration.
  • Lead communications with customer champions and program managers, taking ownership of project deliverables.
  • Stay up to date with project management industry best practices.


Required Qualifications:

  • Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance (or able to obtain one).
  • Currently hold PMP & Agile certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering/manufacturing enterprise system implementations, data migrations, or enhancements projects in a Project Manager capacity.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading PLM system implementations, data migrations, or enhancements projects in a Project Manager capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Microsoft Project and PowerPoint expert.
  • JIRA expert.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Leadership, Management, or an applicable technical discipline.
  • Experience with PTC Windchill and/or Siemens Team Center implementations, data migrations, or enhancements projects
  • Prior experience working as a consultant with a partner organization of PTC and/or Siemens
  • In-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Knowledge of DoD software development policies and requirements.
  • Security + Certification
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code management leveraging GIT (e.g. repo, branches, merging, conflict resolution, build hardening, and ant scripting).
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with PLM application licensure, installation, patching, and upgrades.
  • Experience writing Statements of Work (SOWs) and building Rough Order of Magnitude quotes (ROMs).

Work Environment & Remote Meeting Expectations: Our work environment operates on a remote/hybrid model, balancing flexibility with the need for in-person collaboration. Employees are expected to work in-office on designated days to foster engagement with the team. Outside of these days, employees may telework with supervisor approval, provided they adhere to communication protocols and effectively fulfill their work responsibilities. Travel may be required to customer and subcontractor sites, as well as other office locations.

The pay range for this role is:
