USV Integration and Demonstration Technical Lead (SIE)

Work Environment: This position is hybrid with a home office at Accelint’s Panama City, FL site with some travel expected to customer sites as well as other Accelint office locations.

This role is part of our Systems Innovation Engineering (SIE) division, which specializes in readiness and logistics, autonomous platforms, and sensor technologies. SIE develops resilient, integrated systems that enhance situational awareness, sustain mission readiness, and deliver reliable performance across air, ground, and maritime environments.  


We are looking for an Integration and Demonstration Technical Lead who will execute the build, integration, and exercising of the autonomy, controls, and sensor systems on Accelint’s portfolio of USVs, including operation and demonstration of both Accelint and third-party platforms as required to support customer objectives. This role is critical to bridging systems engineering design with operational fielding—leading teams in integration, troubleshooting, and testing of USV platforms. This role works in direct partnership with the technical team and customers to ensure USVs operate safely, reliably, and to spec in demanding maritime environments.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical integration and build activities for the MV-20 USV platform, its subsystems, and hosted sensor systems.
  • Manage integration readiness—ensuring component compatibility, documentation accuracy, and proper configuration control.
  • Conduct system checkout, functional testing, and troubleshooting during dockside and on-water trials.
  • Maintain configuration management, version control, and test reporting processes.
  • Develop test plans and procedures for V&V of the USVs. Brief customer stakeholders in test readiness reviews (TRR).
  • Maintain readiness of USV platforms and support hardware for rapid deployment.
  • Travel to customer sites and test ranges for vehicle integration and at-sea demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with engineering to identify and resolve hardware/software integration issues.
  • Engage with engineering teams to define, prioritize, and implement capability-enhancing features that advance platform performance, reliability, and mission success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training in electronics, mechatronics, marine systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on integration or field engineering experience (preferably maritime, defense, or robotics).
  • Proficiency in electrical and network system installation, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with embedded computing systems, sensors, and control hardware.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in dynamic field environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical layouts.
  • U.S. citizenship required; eligible for DoD security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with unmanned or autonomous maritime systems.
  • Previous work on DoD maritime programs.
  • Hands-on government USV testing experience.



Clearance Requirements 

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.  Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL).  In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment. The listed pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this position for the location for which it has been posted and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The pay range for this role is:

80,000 - 110,000 USD per year (Hybrid (Panama City, Florida, US))
