This role is part of our Forward Slope (FSI) division, which focuses on C2, engineering, cyber, and international programs. FSI integrates complex systems, transforms geospatial and operational data into clear insights, and supports naval, joint, and allied missions with technical rigor and global perspective. 


Accelint is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer III to help build and evolve our Command and Control (C2) platform. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning features end-to-end and contributing across the entire product stack. You will work closely with engineers, product staff, and UX designers to deliver reliable capabilities that directly support our customers’ missions.

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Design, implement, and deliver full-stack platform capabilities
  • Translate product and mission requirements into cohesive backend and frontend solutions
  • Break down complex problems through use case analysis, specifications, and design artifacts
  • Own features end-to-end, from backend services through frontend UI
  • Apply design patterns and best practices across the full technology stack
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform usability and reliability
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering excellence
  • Support continuous improvement of platform architecture and development practices

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field
  • 7+ years of demonstrated development experience with:
    • Object-oriented programming (e.g., Go, Python),
    • Modern frontend frameworks (React, Node.js, TypeScript)
    • Delivering production systems with high reliability requirements
    • Strong commitment to high-quality, well-tested code
    • Mentoring or technically leading other engineers
  • Proficiency in all or some of the following areas:
    • Backend data modeling, database design, and DAL patterns
    • REST API design and implementation
    • Asynchronous messaging technologies (e.g., WebSockets, NATS.io)
    • Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
    • UI state management (Redux, Zustand)
    • Authentication and authorization using OIDC / OAuth 2.0
    • Unit testing frameworks
    • Build dependency management
    • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)


Preferred Qualifications

  • UI component libraries (Material UI, Tailwind)
  • GitLab CI/CD build automation
  • GIS data management, processing, or visualization
  • CesiumJS

Clearance Requirements 

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.  Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL).  In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment. The pay range for this role is:

125,000 - 175,000 USD per year (San Diego, CA (FSI))
