What you'll do

From reconciliations to journal entries, this role is all about supporting our team and clients by closing gaps, finishing tasks, and keeping things moving. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Record and reconcile cash and credit card transactions across multiple client accounts
  • Post journal entries including payroll, debt service, and intercompany allocations
  • Assist with property accounting entries for acquisitions, refinances, and dispositions
  • Review client books and ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with best practices
  • Support special projects and backlog cleanup efforts on a flexible, as-needed basis

Problems we need help with

This role exists because there’s real work to do — and not always enough hands to do it. We’re not just looking for extra capacity, we’re looking for partners who can jump in and deliver with confidence. You’d be helping us solve challenges like:

  • Keeping up with growing client demands without overextending our core team
  • Working through clean-up projects and bringing accounts into alignment
  • Supporting one-off accounting needs that don’t require a full-time hire
  • Providing consistent, reliable support during high-volume periods

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to client-based or real estate accounting
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping practices and journal entries
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and comfort with cloud-based tools
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with limited direction
  • Comfortable with remote, hourly 1099 work that flexes around your existing schedule
