At Accruity, we’re building something meaningful — for our clients and for each other. We’re a people-focused accounting services firm that helps business owners get back to what they do best by handling the financial heavy-lifting with clarity, consistency, and care. We support nearly 100 clients across the country with scalable, high-quality accounting solutions — and we’re just getting started.

Inside our walls, we lead with trust, autonomy, and accountability. There’s no micromanaging, no performative fluff — just real work, done well, by people who care. We’re building a team of thoughtful self-starters who take pride in their work and show up for each other.

As we grow, we’re focused on doing it right — investing in systems, structure, and a culture that respects your time, energy, and ambition. If you’re looking for a place where your work is valued and your voice is part of the process, Accruity might be the right place for you.

  • Liaise with clients to resolve accounting inquiries, improve processes, and deliver custom recurring reports and analysis.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, including those related to payroll, debt, shared services, property acquisitions, refinances, and dispositions.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and review of cash and credit card reconciliations.
  • Oversee client accounting systems to ensure compliance with firm standards, including chart of accounts and custom reporting management, and deliver monthly reporting packages.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical Accounting: Strong foundational understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of previous accounting experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Software: Working knowledge of accounting software and/or ERPs; experience with QuickBooks Online, AppFolio, or similar systems preferred.
  • Excel Skills: Ability to perform analysis and reconciliations efficiently and in a repeatable way.
  • Communication: Strong professional communication skills for client-facing interactions via email, phone, and video.
  • Drive: Self-starter who takes initiative to improve systems, processes, and deliverables.
  • Accountability: Reliable and deadline-driven — ensuring timely and accurate completion of all deliverables.

Why Join Us?

  • Make an immediate impact in a fast-growing, people-first accounting firm.
  • Work in a collaborative, supportive culture that values trust, autonomy, and results.
  • Grow your career through hands-on client exposure and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Enjoy flexibility — we embrace a hybrid model with a strong preference for candidates in Pittsburgh but welcome remote applicants who align with our culture.
