We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at Accruity. In this role, you’ll apply your accounting expertise to support real estate investment clients with precision and clarity, while strengthening internal processes and collaborating across teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Support bookkeepers to ensure accurate daily recording of cash and credit card transactions in compliance with internal standards.
- Perform month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and review of cash and credit card reconciliations.
- Liaise with clients to resolve accounting inquiries, improve processes, and deliver custom recurring reports and analysis.
- Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll, debt, shared services, and real estate transactions (acquisitions, refinances, dispositions).
- Oversee client accounting systems to ensure compliance with firm standards, including chart of accounts and custom reporting management, and deliver monthly reporting packages.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong foundational understanding of US GAAP.
- Working knowledge of accounting software and/or ERPs; QuickBooks Online, Appfolio, or larger ERPs preferred.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, especially month-end close cycles.
- Professional communication skills for client-facing interactions via email, phone, or video.
- A self-starter mindset with drive to improve systems, processes, and client deliverables.
- Advanced Excel skills for efficient analysis and reconciliations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
