Job Overview
Accruity is looking for a detail-oriented and growth-minded Senior Accountant to join our dynamic, client-focused team. In this role, you’ll apply your accounting expertise and knowledge of GAAP to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to our real estate investment clients.
You'll manage bookkeeping workflows, be a point of contact for the client, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and play a key role in the month-end close process.

What you'll do
- Support bookkeepers to ensure accurate daily recording of cash and credit card transactions in compliance with internal standards.
- Perform month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and review of cash and credit card reconciliations.
- Liaise with clients to resolve accounting inquiries, improve processes, and deliver custom recurring reports and analysis.
- Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll, debt, shared services, and real estate transactions, including acquisitions, refinances, and dispositions.
- Oversee client accounting systems to ensure compliance with firm standards, including chart of accounts and custom reporting management, and deliver monthly reporting packages.

What we're looking for
- Technical Accounting: Strong foundational understanding of US GAAP.
- Software: Working knowledge of accounting software and/or ERPs. Knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Appfolio or larger ERPs is desired.
- Ability to meet deadlines: This role will be a crucial piece to ensuring that we meet our month-end close deadlines and deliver on our services in the timeline promised to our clients.
- Communication Skills: This role will occasionally be client facing, whether by email, phone or video conference. An ideal candidate is able to professionally communicate with our clients as required.
- Drive: We are looking for a self-starter to play an active role in the enhancement and evolve our systems, process and most importantly, our client deliverables.
- Strong Excel skills: Ability to perform analysis and reconciliations efficiently and in a repeatable way is crucial.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Work Experience: 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

- Have experience with real-estate specific software
