Position Overview

The Zünd CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC cutting equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality output in a production-driven environment. This role plays a key part in meeting daily production goals by running jobs efficiently, maintaining workflow, and ensuring all parts meet required specifications.

Our cutting operation primarily processes PET felt acoustic panels, requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a focus on throughput.

The operator will work closely with the production team to maintain an efficient workflow and reliable output while developing CNC operation skills.


Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Compensation: Starting at $20 (and a 12.5% 2nd shift premium)


Key Responsibilities

        Identify and run production jobs based on work orders and production schedules.

        Operate Zünd CNC equipment to cut PET felt acoustic panels accurately and efficiently.

        Maintain continuous machine operation to support production flow and minimize downtime between jobs.

        Monitor cutting operations to ensure parts meet required quality and dimensional standards.

        Verify that each job is produced according to specifications before moving forward in production.

Load, unload, and handle materials efficiently to keep production moving.

Learn CNC machine operation and workflow processes to improve speed and consistency over time.

        Perform basic machine upkeep, including blade changes and routine cleaning, to support consistent production.

        Monitor tooling condition and machine cleanliness, proactively addressing anything that may impact cut quality or efficiency.

        Identify production issues (material, file, or cut quality) and communicate them quickly.

        Maintain organized work areas and follow all company safety and quality procedures.

        Communicate with production leadership regarding job progress, output, or delays.

        Assist with other manufacturing and production tasks as needed to support overall workflow and team output.

  

Qualifications

        Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

        Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn CNC equipment and processes.

        Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

        Ability to follow production schedules and meet deadlines.

        Willingness to learn and improve efficiency over time.

        Experience with CNC cutting systems preferred but not required.
