About the role


The Senior P&C Business Partner is a key role within the People & Culture team, responsible for partnering with specific business units to align HR strategies with business objectives. This role will provide expert advice and support on a wide range of HR matters, including performance management, talent development, change management, employee relations, and workforce planning. The senior P&C Business Partner will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment that reflects Advanced Navigation's mission and values, ensuring our people strategies enable the autonomy revolution.

What you'll do


Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their strategic priorities and translate these into effective P&C initiatives and solutions.


Strategic Headcount & Budget Management: Lead the annual headcount planning and HR budget management process for assigned business units. Partner with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into a data-driven workforce plan and financial forecast. Responsible for developing, managing, and tracking the HR budget, providing regular variance analysis, and offering insights to ensure optimal resource allocation and alignment with financial targets.


Compensation & Benefits:  Lead the design, development, and direction of compensation and benefits strategy and programs to support the organization’s objectives. Maintain competitive and cost-effective compensation programs, and benefits programs, coordinate and oversee headcount reporting and administration, and provide consultation, training and education for supervisors, managers, and employees on Company compensation & benefits programs.


Performance Management: Support managers and employees in performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and development planning.


Talent Development & Retention: Work with business units to identify talent needs, facilitate succession planning, and support learning and development initiatives that foster a culture of curiosity and growth.


Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues.


Change Management: Act as a change agent, guiding leaders and teams through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption.


Policy & Compliance: Ensure consistent application of P&C policies and procedures, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.


P&C Program Implementation: Lead and support the implementation of P&C programs and initiatives within assigned business units.


Data & Analytics: Utilize P&C data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement of P&C practices.



Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, Master’s degree is preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Partner or in a similar P&C advisory role, global experience is highly valued
  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and talent development. Demonstrated experience supporting global teams across multiple regions (including APAC, EMEA, and the US) is an asset.
  • Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  • Demonstrates project management and change management experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or engineering environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong track record of building and fostering a cohesive culture across diverse regions, ensuring employees located outside of the Australian head office receive appropriate support and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into actionable P&C solutions.
