OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Never worked with fiber optics before? No problem.
If you have a background in basic electro-mechanical assembly, soldering, or using hand tools to build small components, we will train you on everything related to optical fiber. We are looking for someone with steady hands, strong attention to detail, and a desire to learn new technical skills. You will work in a clean, modern manufacturing environment building key parts for our navigation equipment.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
- Basic Assembly: Assemble small electronic and mechanical components using standard hand tools, tweezers, and simple benchtop equipment.
- Learn Fiber Optics: Follow clear step-by-step instructions to learn how to prepare, handle, and route delicate optical fiber cables (full on-the-job training provided).
- Soldering & Wiring: Perform basic soldering and wire harnessing where required.
- Quality & Testing: Conduct simple visual inspections and basic test checks to make sure built parts meet quality standards.
- Follow Work Instructions: Work cleanly and safely by following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
What We Are Looking For
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in basic electronic, mechanical, or bench assembly work.
- Fine Manual Dexterity: Comfortable working with small parts and tools under a magnifying glass or microscope.
- Good Eye for Detail: Takes pride in neat, accurate work and catching small defects.
- Willingness to Learn: Eager to learn fiber optics and pick up new assembly techniques.
- Team Player: Clear communication skills and a reliable, positive attitude.
What We Offer
- Full training provided: We will teach you fiber optic handling, fusion splicing, and specialized assembly from scratch.
- Great working environment: Clean, indoor, climate-controlled workspace with modern facilities.
- Career growth: Learn specialized skills in a fast-growing high-tech industry.
