Role overview
Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Logistics, and working in our new, state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility, this is a senior individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership of our Warehouse Logistics operations – including outbound shipping, inbound receiving, freight and customs compliance, and Sales Stock management – as well as
Raw Material Inventory for the manufacturing facility.
Broad responsibilities include owning our Sales Warehouse and Stock, picking, packing and shipping products to customers, and receiving and processing deliveries from our Suppliers, as well as Raw Material Inventory for the manufacturing facility – ensuring stock accuracy, availability and traceability to prevent production delays. This role acts as
a key point of coordination between Warehouse, Procurement and Production, and provides day-to-day guidance and support to junior Logistics team members.
What you will do
- Own the outbound shipping process for high value electronics products, ensuring accuracy, quality and reliability from pick list to delivery
- Locate products and accessories stock within our warehouse and pick and pack items for shipment, following strict packaging requirements
- Print and pack critical quality documentation, and print and affix labels for efficient, reliable shipping
- Identify and resolve root causes of shipping errors or returns, feeding learnings back into packing and labelling procedures
- Liaise with freight carriers and revenue operations teams to resolve delivery issues and keep customers informed
- Own the receiving / inbound quality process for electronics, mechanical and optical components from our vendors
- Receive physical deliveries, including small, medium and large packages, taking care to follow handling procedures
- Inspect deliveries against purchase orders and quality requirements, identifying and escalating discrepancies or damage to Procurement
- Identify shipments and communicate receipt with team, and store stock in designated locations within our warehouse
- Support Raw Material and Finished Good Inventory management for the manufacturing facility, ensuring stock accuracy, availability and traceability to prevent production delays
- Manage Freight, Customs and Trade Compliance for inbound and outbound shipments of high-value navigation hardware
- Manage calibration and maintenance of warehouse equipment, ensuring

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Must be able to obtain a Forklift licence
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing or Inventory Management highly regarded
- Practical qualifications, such as a trade, will be an advantage
- Dangerous Goods (DG) shipping certification (e.g. IATA/IMDG), relevant for lithium-ion batteries and other regulated components, will be an advantage
- 5+ years working in a warehouse, logistics or inventory management role, including experience managing Raw Material Inventory in a manufacturing or production environment
- Demonstrated experience owning inventory accuracy processes, including cycle counting, root cause analysis and stock reconciliation using an ERP/MRP system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP)
- Experience managing high value stock including stock locations, stock storage packaging, stock volumes
- Experience preparing and troubleshooting high value shipments for customers, with a focus on accuracy, care and presentation
- Experience liaising with the Australian Border Force (ABF), customs brokers or freight forwarders to resolve import/export clearance queries
- Familiarity with HS/HTS classification, Incoterms and export control considerations for high-value or dual-use hardware will be highly regarded
- High attention to detail – ensure items are correctly located, stored, packed and accurately counted
- Strong communication skills – able to provide status updates, constraints, issues etc. verbally or in writing with ease
