Event Staff ALS (EMT-I, Paramedic, RN) all other EMS levels will be dispositioned

Role and Responsibilities:  

The following list contains the core roles and responsibilities for Event Staff positions 

  • Setting up for events including but not limited to towing event trailers, onsite tent/clinic set up, patient pick-ups, vehicles, comms, equipment 
  • Temperature screening (non-contact forehead thermometers)  
  • Administer ALS or BLS (depending on level) emergency and clinical care 
  • Keeping event trailers, vehicles, and bags stocked correctly 
  • Operate inreach, handheld and vehicle radio, Gaia, and other communication devices utilized for events 
  • Assist with keeping the station clean and organized  
  • Safely operate AdvMedics vehicles, including but not limited to, Ambulances, SUV/Trucks, ATV, UTV 
  • Complete event and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently (before, during and after event) 
  • Liaise with event coordinators, volunteers, and local fire departments in a courteous and professional manner 
  • Perform occasional maintenance/troubleshooting on event equipment including bikes, tents, and rescue vehicles 
  • Perform other work-related duties as directed by team lead/supervisor or as the situation requires 

Additional Information:  

We hire two classifications of employees for our event positions. Core Team staff and ECL (Event Call List) staff. Staffing requirements will be determined on a case-by-case basis, considering the number of hours available to staff at each location (Central Oregon, Portland, Washington, and Arizona). The following guidelines apply during the "on-season" (April – September): 

 

Event Core Team 

  • Employees are expected to work 20-40 hours per week. 


ECL (Event Call List) 

  • ECL Requirements: Employees are expected to work a minimum of 12 hours OR two shifts per month on average.  
  • Flexibility is allowed, permitting employees to work more hours in one month and fewer or none in another, as long as the overall commitment is met. 

 

All staff: 

  • Must attend orientation and pass skills + physical fitness test  
  • Travel reimbursement ($23/hr.) 
  • Training wage (for Orientation and Drill nights)
  • Shifts will be anywhere from 4 - 18hrs 
  • Tentative start date in June 2025 
  • Staff need current OR or WA state EMT or Paramedic license and BLS or ACLS certification 
  • Uniform provided (Staff to provide own EMS boots) 


The pay range for this role is:

27 - 32 USD per hour (Bend Headquarters)

27 - 32 USD per hour (Troutdale Station)
