Backend Engineer – AI/LLM

At Advisor360°, we build technology that transforms how wealth management firms operate, scale, and serve their clients. As a leading SaaS platform in the fintech space, we’re trusted by some of the largest independent broker-dealers and RIAs to power the full advisor and client experience—from portfolio construction and reporting to compliance and client engagement.

What sets us apart? It's not just the tech (though it's best-in-class). It's the people, the purpose, and the passion behind everything we do.

We’re a team of builders, thinkers, and doers who believe that great companies are defined by the stories they tell and the experiences they create—internally and externally. We bring deep industry expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to innovation as we reshape what’s possible in wealth management.

As we grow, we’re looking for teammates who are ready to roll up their sleeves, think big, and help elevate our brand in a way that reflects the bold ambitions we have for our company and the clients we serve. Join us, and be part of a company that's not only moving fast—but making it count.

This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters.

At Advisor360°, we’re building the Digital Workforce, a suite of intelligent agents that automate routine workflows for financial advisors and operations teams. From generating meeting prep tear sheets to triaging email requests and ingesting documents, we’re rethinking how work gets done.

We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to help build and scale our AI-driven agent platform. You’ll work closely with AI engineers, PMs, and designers to ship orchestrated LLM workflows, scalable APIs, and evaluation instrumentation. This is a fast-moving, ambiguous, and deeply technical role ideal for builders who can go from prototype to production quickly.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain backend APIs and services that power LLM-based agents.
  • Design orchestrated multi-step flows using tools like LangChain, CrewAI, or custom planners.
  • Build secure, scalable services using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
  • Deploy and manage services in AWS using EKS, Pulumi, and other DevOps tooling.
  • Develop infrastructure for evaluation, feedback collection, and prompt iteration.
  • Participate in product discussions and prototype end-to-end thin slices with PM/design.
  • Contribute to a shared orchestration layer that multiple agents use.
  • Help evolve our internal developer platform to support rapid experimentation.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python preferred).
  • Experience building and deploying microservices in a Kubernetes/cloud-native environment (AWS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of LLM application design, prompt engineering, and orchestration tools (LangChain, CrewAI, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD, IaC (Pulumi or Terraform), and automated service deployment.
  • Comfort working across ambiguous, fast-changing product areas.
  • Bonus: Experience with RAG pipelines, document extraction, or feedback evaluation tooling.

What Sets This Role Apart:

  • You’ll be working on production LLM use cases that directly impact advisor workflows.
  • We move fast: ideas become features in weeks, not quarters.
  • You’ll influence both product architecture and developer workflows.
  • You’ll help build the technical foundation for advisor-agent collaboration.
