This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters.  

We’re seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer with strong technical acumen, proven leadership ability, and a track record of success in the SaaS space. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, this individual will lead and mentor a team of solution engineers while also serving as a senior-level contributor in strategic sales opportunities. 

This is both a player-coach role and a client-facing leadership position. You will oversee the development and execution of technical sales strategies, manage and grow a high-performing solutions engineering function, and work closely with cross-functional partners across Sales, Product, and Implementation. Candidates should bring deep experience in SaaS, ideally with a background in financial services or fintech. 

 

Here’s What You’ll Do:   

  • Lead and mentor a team of Sales Engineers, setting goals, establishing best practices, and fostering a high-performance culture. 
  • Act as the senior technical voice in strategic sales opportunities, collaborating closely with Account Executives and executive stakeholders. 
  • Guide the technical discovery process, understand complex client requirements, and architect tailored solutions using the Advisor360° platform. 
  • Own the development of technical sales assets including demos, proof-of-concepts, RFPs, and solution workshops. 
  • Partner with the SVP of Sales to align presales strategy with overall business objectives. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Client Services to relay market insights and inform roadmap decisions. 
  • Lead the evolution of the presales process, scaling team capabilities, tools, and internal enablement programs. 
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive positioning, and product developments to ensure Advisor360° is seen as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients. 

 

What You Bring to the Table:  

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, or Technical Pre-Sales in a B2B SaaS environment. 
  • 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring Sales Engineers or technical presales professionals. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with ability to influence across teams. 
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS architecture, APIs, integrations, and enterprise software deployment. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting, compliance, or operational platforms. 
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems like Salesforce and collaboration tools like Zoom, Notion, or Slack. 
  • Experience in the financial services, wealth management, or fintech industries a plus.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $164,000-185,000.
