About the role

The Engineering Project Scheduler is responsible for the full development of project engineering schedules, project engineering resource planning, and reporting. This includes ensuring engineering compliance with all aspects of the project timeline, budget, and deliverables. The Scheduler will work with a cross-functional team of Engineers, project managers, department heads, and team leaders to ensure successful, profitable and on-time project. The Scheduler must have the ability to work with little supervision. The scheduler must execute all work in accordance with the company’s corporate scheduler.

What you'll do

  • Develop, maintain, and update engineering project schedules, and other reports needed by the Director of Engineering, PMs, and leadership teams.
  • Work directly with the project management teams to monitor and update the schedules and engineering deliverables on a regular basis.
  • Assist in planning and resource allocation efforts of the engineering project teams.
  • Compile project hours used to assist the sales and estimating team for resource planning and pricing.
  • Identify critical issues in schedules and assist in the development of improvement procedures.
  • Develop solutions to scheduling and other project issues.
  • Analyze job progress and track job hours for projects to compare to budgeted hours.
  • Generate reports for work % complete vs the deliverable schedules.

Qualifications

  • Ability to develop detailed schedules in Microsoft Project and other scheduling software.
  • Working knowledge of scrum/agile methodologies required.
  • Ability to develop detailed schedules that incorporate progress tracking, resource loading, critical path analysis, and other critical functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) (Engineering or Technical background preferred)
  • 3+ years’ experience in Project Scheduling and Planning
  • Experience with high level scheduling.
  • Experience working with customers in planning and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience in coordinating department activities with other departments.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:

  • Travel is required as needed. (est. 10%)
