This position can sit in any one of our three office locations: Louisville, KY; Memphis, TN; or Cincinnati, OH.

Travel Required: 25% or less.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to support infrastructure development within the parcel industry. This role focuses on designing and analyzing structural systems for conveyor supports, platforms, and maintenance access.  The successful candidate will ensure all designs are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with applicable local building codes and regulations.


What you'll do

  • Design and analyze structural components for parcel facilities including conveyor support systems, elevated platforms, and equipment supports.
  • Ensure all structural designs meet local, state, and federal building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation teams to integrate structural solutions with parcel-handling systems.
  • Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for permitting and construction.
  • Conduct structural assessments and inspections of existing facilities to support upgrades and retrofits.
  • Utilize structural design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and RISA.
  • Support project planning and scheduling efforts.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors during construction and installation phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (Required)
  • 3+ years of experience in structural design.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with parcel-handling systems and facility layouts (preferred).
  • Experience with fast-paced design-build projects (preferred).
  • Knowledge of structural requirements for automated material handling systems (preferred).
  • Understanding of vibration and dynamic load considerations in conveyor systems (preferred).
