About the role


We are seeking a Hardware Engineer with a strong background in electrical design to support the development of automation systems for sortation and conveyor equipment. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical engineering fundamentals who specializes in electrical layout and design. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining device layouts, power drawings, and MCP designs, with a focus on building scalable templates and standards from the ground up.


What you'll do


  • Design and develop electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Create and maintain MCP designs, device layouts, and power distribution drawings.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Support anchor-level initiatives and contribute to long-term infrastructure planning.
  • Work closely with the Controls and Software Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Assist in the documentation of version control of electrical design files and templates.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve system reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications


  • Strong experience in electrical design for industrial automation systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and related design tools.
  • Understanding of sortation and conveyor system components and layout.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and convert them into actionable designs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
