Job Summary
As a Sales Director for the Automotive sector, you will drive Aeris’ growth in Germany and Europe by engaging OEMs on their connected vehicle, IoT platform, telematics, and security needs. You will position the Aeris Mobility Suite as a scalable, secure solution for next generation connected vehicles.
Working at the intersection of automotive and connected device technology, you will guide customers through complex technical evaluations and thorough enterprise sales cycles. Your expertise in embedded systems, connectivity, OTA, telematics, LTE/GSM/Wi-Fi, and IoT security will make you a trusted partner for leading automotive players.
We are looking for a results-driven sales professional who knows how to position Aeris’ robust, field-tested solutions as a powerful enabler for OEMs, giving them a ready-made foundation that simplifies execution, accelerates innovation, and delivers measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Aeris’ automotive sales strategy in Germany, identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities with major OEMs.
- Navigate long enterprise sales cycles (12+ months), from discovery and requirements exploration to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Build and manage executive-level relationships within customer organizations, including engineering, digital services, cybersecurity, connectivity, purchasing, and program management teams.
- Clearly articulate the value of Aeris’ IoT solutions and Aeris Mobility Suite in enhancing vehicle safety, compliance, device lifecycle management, SOTA/OTA capability, and operational performance.
- Leverage your technical understanding of embedded systems, connectivity modules, telematics units, OTA/FOTA, and multi-network connectivity (LTE, GSM, Wi-Fi).
- Work closely with Aeris product, engineering, and architecture teams to shape proposals, develop roadmaps, and address customer requirements.
- Own the full sales cycle, including account planning, pipeline forecasting, proposal development, and commercial negotiations.
- Develop value-based pricing strategies for SaaS, IoT platform services, data services, OTA, and device management.
- Drive opportunities to closure with a proactive, competitive, and results-oriented approach.
- Support cross-functional alignment with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Executive leadership.
- Contribute to ongoing competitive intelligence, especially around OEM in-house platform development.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales or account management, preferably within automotive, IoT, cybersecurity, or technology sectors.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, or telematics service providers with their connected vehicle programs.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, IoT Security certifications).
- Proven track record selling complex technology platforms with long (12+ month) sales cycles.
- Experience in any of the following strongly preferred: telematics & connectivity, IoT or embedded hardware/software, OTA/SOTA frameworks & LTE, GSM, Wi-Fi, and device connectivity ecosystems;
- Strong understanding of connected mobility architectures, automotive SaaS platforms, and IoT security principles.
- Familiarity with German automotive industry dynamics, procurement processes, and decision-making structures.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to adapt messaging to technical and executive audiences.

- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Requirements
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% within Germany and across Europe as needed.
