A&P Technician / QC Inspector

About the Role

Aery Aviation, LLC is hiring two A&P Technician / QC Inspectors to join our team in Newport News, VA. This dual‑role position performs hands‑on aircraft maintenance while also supporting critical quality control and inspection functions. You’ll ensure all work meets FAA regulations, customer specifications, and the Aery Quality Management System (AQMS).

What You’ll Do

  • Interpret drawings, technical data, manuals, and work instructions
  • Perform and document aircraft maintenance and repair per FAA and manufacturer requirements
  • Conduct final inspections on materials, parts, products, and maintenance services
  • Perform internal and external quality audits as assigned
  • Ensure proper use and verification of tools, equipment, and calibrated devices
  • Issue Certificates of Conformity, Return to Service documentation, and regulatory approvals
  • Support the Quality Manager by collecting and analyzing data for metrics and trends
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the quality department




What You Need to Bring

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate — Required
  • 3+ years' experience as an Aviation Inspector
  • Background as a quality inspector, aircraft technician, or related aviation role
  • Strong attention to detail and a results‑driven mindset
  • High integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Knowledge of quality control standards, inspection methods, and aircraft maintenance practices
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office and intermediate computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Willingness to participate in a Drug‑Free Workplace
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English




Bonus Points

  • Experience with Quantum (QMX) software
