About the role
As AgelessRx's Clinical Support Specialist, you will act as an integral part of the Medical Team to offer ongoing clinical support to ensure patients receive optimal care and clinical efficiencyEach day, you will interact directly with patients across a variety of channels to address common questions, triage side effect reports, process PRNs and dosage changes, and review check-insto name a few—all with the goal of becoming a trusted partner to providers to help patients achieve positive, consistent outcomes. You will ensure inquiries and patient needs are addressed timely and thoroughlyultimately reducing workloads for busy providers and reducing patient wait times. To that end, you will also participate in a variety of operational projects to improve the quality, efficiency, and profitability of clinical services. 

What you'll do

Clinical Support 

  • Screen and/or process patient check-in forms to ensure optimal outcomes, help to manage side effects, and more 

  • Screen and/or process dosage change requests to ensure providers have all relevant information 

  • Screen and/or respond to patient messages on behalf of providers, when appropriate 
  • Screen and/or process Adverse Drug Events in partnership with approving providers 
  • Process all PRNs and Standing Orders per provider and/or patient request 
  • Ensure smooth operation of clinical services, which may include assisting with patient intake screenings, appointment scheduling, and/or medical records management 
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrators, to support clinical activities 
  • Work with the clinical team to streamline processes that enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care, as needed 

Clinical Performance 
  • Routinely monitor team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and relevant provider performance metrics to identify trends, ideate opportunities for improvement, and remain committed to team efficiency and productivity 

  • Partner with Provider Engagement and Compliance to perform regular audits and assessments of clinical support services to uphold quality standards and identify areas for improvement 
  • Create, update, and enforce relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the clinical support team 
  • Continuously monitor departmental activities, including provider and patient feedback, provider requests, service requests, and make improvements as needed
  • Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare policies, technology, and best practices
 
Stakeholder Management 
  • Work directly with the medical team to ensure quality of care standards are met or exceeded; adjust workflows accordingly 

  • Act as the voice of the department to various internal stakeholders to provide insights and updates regarding activities and challenges facing the clinical support team 
  • Act as a liaison between the clinical support team, CX team, and the medical team, ensuring clear and effective communication 
  • Develop, implement, and lead training programs for new hires and ongoing education for existing team members 
  • Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare policies, technology, and best practices 

Qualifications

  • Previous and/or current experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Physician's Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse required 

  • Telemedicine experience required (at least 1 year) 
  • EMR experience strongly preferred 
  • Computer literacy 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 85,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
