About the role
The Senior Accounting Manager will own and scale AgelessRx’s accounting function, building a structured, reliable financial foundation that supports rapid, compliant growth across multiple entities. This role combines strong technical accounting leadership with a focus on process maturity, system optimization, and automation to strengthen reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. Partnering closely with the Director of Finance and other cross-functional leaders, the Senior Accounting Manager plays a key role in enhancing financial visibility, reinforcing internal controls, and developing a scalable accounting infrastructure for a mission-driven, high-growth healthcare organization.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting expertise in a fast-growing environment, a process-improvement mindset, and the confidence to take ownership of core financial operations while building scalable systems and controls.

Please Note: We’re open to starting this role as a contract position, with the potential to move into a full-time role for the right fit. This isn’t required, but something we’re open to exploring.

What you'll do

Operational Accounting & Close

  • Own the end-to-end accounting function across entities, including GL management, revenue recognition, payroll, AP/vendor management, AR, tax coordination, and financial statement preparation
  • Lead and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, driving speed, accuracy, predictability, and GAAP compliance
  • Prepare and review journal entries (accruals, reclasses, and complex/non-routine transactions) with clear support and documentation
  • Establish and maintain reconciliations, schedules, and close support files that support reporting accuracy and audit readiness

Controls, Compliance & Audit

  • Design, document, and maintain scalable accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls that support operational consistency and audit readiness
  • Oversee balance sheet integrity through review of account reconciliations and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Own relationships and coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced accounting partners, driving smooth audits and tax engagements

Systems, Automation & Scale

  • Evaluate and evolve accounting systems, tools, and workflows to support growth, with an automation- and AI-first mindset
  • Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and close velocity while reducing manual work and key-person risk
  • Maintain system integrity and clean data flow across financial platforms, including intercompany transaction tracking and reconciliations

Financial Reporting & Business Partnership

  • Prepare and review internal financial reporting, delivering variance analysis, trend insights, and management-ready explanations
  • Partner closely with FP&A and Finance leadership so reliable actuals inform forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to leadership, supporting ad hoc analyses and proactively identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities

Leadership & Function Development

  • Act as the day-to-day owner of accounting execution, setting standards for quality, documentation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Build scalable processes and infrastructure that allow the accounting function to grow beyond a single individual and support future team expansion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation or active progress toward certification preferred
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a high-growth, startup, or multi-entity environment
  • Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation in a scaling organization
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas, data analysis, and structured financial models
  • Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
