About the role

  • REQ an Agital Company is looking for a Senior Sales Director to drive aggressive new business growth within our Paid/Performance Marketing services. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role focused on identifying, developing, and closing new client relationships. We’re looking for a strongly networked individual with a proven track record of generating and converting leads—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment. 

What you'll do

  • Own and exceed an annual new business quota of $2M, with the majority coming from self-generated leads. 
  • Lead the full-cycle sales process, from lead generation and discovery through to proposal, negotiation, and close. Expect full ownership of lead generation plus discovery and partnering with SMEs on pitches and closing. 
  • Conduct strategic discovery sessions to identify and shape opportunities for paid media and performance marketing services. 
  • In partnership with a paid media strategist, develop pitch materials, RFP responses, and client presentations. 
  • Bring, build and maintain a strong network of relationships with agency procurement consultants and relevant industry stakeholders. 
  • Identify relevant industry events and represent REQ, leveraging personal and professional networks to drive introductions and deal flow. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal marketing, delivery, and leadership teams to align on deal strategy and service positioning. 

Qualifications

  • A proven hunter—you’ve consistently built and closed your own pipeline, in a tech, marketing services, or agency environment. 
  • Deep experience uncovering and developing paid media opportunities through strategic discovery.  
  • Comfort operating independently—you can develop your own sales strategy and top-down sales narrative, run your own meetings, project manage support resources on material creation, and drive your own outreach. 
  • Existing connections within agency procurement networks and the ability to open doors quickly. 
  • Strong communicator, confident presenter, and skilled negotiator. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% 
  • Bonus: Experience pitching and winning holistic marketing (i.e., agency of record) opportunities 
  • Bonus: Experience designing sales processes and managing junior team members.
