Summary:

The Pantry Service Representative is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering food and pantry supplies to various clients or locations as part of the Agora Refreshments Customer Success Team. This role involves the transportation, loading, unloading, tracking and merchandising of pantry goods, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Pantry Supplies: Transport a variety of pantry items (including dry goods, canned/bottled beverages, refrigerated food, kegs, Bevi bibs and other non-perishable items) to designated locations throughout the greater Seattle area.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload pantry supplies, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage or spoilage. As well as following proper safety protocols to lower injury risk.
  • Route Planning: Follow designated delivery routes while adhering to schedules. Ensure timely delivery and adjust routes as needed based on traffic or other unforeseen circumstances. Prioritizing and organizing daily routes to be as efficient as possible
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that all deliveries are completed in accordance with orders. Confirm that all pantry items are included and verify quantities for accuracy.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance to Agora Supplied machines.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor, responding to client needs or concerns, and ensuring a positive experience with each delivery. Maintaining excellent customer service
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of lifting equipment, safe driving practices, and adherence to food handling guidelines. Ensure that deliveries comply with food safety standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Help maintain the assigned delivery vehicle, including maintenance of cleanliness, tire pressure, and fuel levels, and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery receipts, inventory logs, and delivery forms. Ensure that all documentation is accurately filled out and submitted.
  • Communication: Keep open lines of communication with Customer Success Manager and Route Support Team to report any delays, accidents, or issues during delivery. Maintain regular communication with clients to confirm delivery times and details.
  • Fulfilling stock levels of coffee, snacks, beverages, and related products at customer sites
  • Servicing/cleaning coffee systems and related equipment
  • Physical labor: Lifting, carrying, and otherwise transporting large totes of product weighing 40-90 lbs frequently

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a clean driving record and the ability to operate delivery vehicles, including vans or box trucks.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a foodservice environment is preferred.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry heavy items (Frequently lifting 50 lbs or more) and perform tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering excellent service to clients.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize deliveries, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in checking orders and completing necessary paperwork or logs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Food Safety Knowledge: Basic knowledge of food safety standards and handling procedures.
  • GPS/Route Navigation: Familiarity with GPS systems or mapping apps to ensure efficient routing.

Work Environment:

  • The role typically involves working outdoors, in a vehicle, and within foodservice client locations, such as kitchens or food prep areas.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous situations, such as inclement weather or traffic, requires a high degree of attention and safety awareness.
