Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Privacy and Protection Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of data privacy and protection, assisting in the development and implementation of policies and practices that ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in data privacy, legal compliance, and information security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review and analysis of current data privacy policies and practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (eg, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Support the development and implementation of data protection strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct research on data privacy trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Help prepare documentation and reports related to data privacy assessments and audits.
  • Assist in training and awareness programs for employees regarding data privacy and protection policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate data privacy risks.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on data privacy issues and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in Law, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (eg, GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Desire to learn and have a strong sense of curiosity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with data protection tools and technologies is a plus.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about data privacy and protection.
  • Fluency in Mandarin a plus.
