About the role
What you'll do
1. Core Responsibilities
· Support the strategy and roadmap for Agora’s products and solutions with a focus on Real-time Communication SDKs and Cloud Services.
· Participate in conducting market, competitive, and customer research globally and translate insights into roadmap decisions.
· Help gather, define, and prioritize product requirements, champion the voice of the customer.
· Identify growth opportunities and recommended areas for investment with sound business cases.
· Support new use-case discovery and guide customer adoption.
· Stay informed about industry trends, including WebRTC, SVC, simulcast, adaptive bitrate (ABR), cloud media services, and edge networking.
· Drive delivery across the product lifecycle with cross-functional partners.
· Help define the GTM strategy, partner with Product Marketing, Marketing, and Sales on plans and execution.
· Assist in the establishment and track KPIs to assess product success and inform continuous improvement.
· Cooperate with partnerships required for GTM success and align with GTM team on integration and onboarding.
2. Leadership Responsibilities
· Vision and Strategy: Support the development of the product strategy, and roadmap for products and solutions you own. Help ensure ongoing alignment of this strategy with product and cross-functional leadership. Serve as a subject-matter expert on Agora’s products you own and act as a thought leader and evangelist with customers, partners, and influencers
· Team Development: Where possible, provide best practices and mentor, coach, and nurture associate product managers to improve their skills.
· Decision-Making: Help drive critical decision-making and alignment with product and cross-functional leadership for product coverage areas.
· Change Management: Assist with the execution of changes within the organization or department and assist team members adapt to these changes, escalating to leadership for help when needed.
· Cooperate within cross-functional working teams for product coverage areas; influence outcomes without formal authority, escalating for help where needed.
Qualifications
1. Required Technical Skills (Technical Proficiencies)
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
· 2-5 years as a Product Manager shipping successful SaaS/PaaS products.
· Strong understanding of real-time communication or adjacent domains (networking, streaming, audio/video codec, or cloud platforms).
· 1+ years leading products for live streaming and B2B video; experience with conversational AI products preferred.
· Experience defining KPIs/metrics for business intelligence and decision-making.
· Familiarity with using AI tools to accelerate productivity and product delivery.
· Experience working with global teams and distributed environments is a plus.
2. Essential Soft Skills
· Technical and business acumen; excellent written and verbal communication. Chinese and English bi-lingual is a plus
· Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive target outcomes.
· Adaptable with the ability to navigate through ambiguity and change.
· Empathetic and able to understand the perspectives and challenges of users, team members and stakeholders.
· Adept at problem solving, leveraging creative and analytical approaches to deliver effective solutions.
