Field Product & Developer Evangelist

Level: Contractor

Location: Mexico City/Guadalajara/Monterrey

Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate Field Product & Developer Evangelist who thrives at the intersection of technology, community, and storytelling. This role blends deep product understanding with a public-facing presence. You’ll represent Agora at key AI, developer, and product events; translate developer and market feedback into product insight; and act as a bridge between our Product, Engineering, and Developer Ecosystem teams.

The ideal candidate is equal parts technical communicator, product strategist, and community builder — someone who can inspire developers while shaping the roadmap with real-world insight.

Key Responsibilities

Field Product Engagement

·       Act as a product expert for Agora’s Conversational AI and real-time engagement solutions in the field.

·       Lead technical demos, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessions with customers, developers, and partners.

·       Translate customer use cases and field insights into actionable feedback for Product and Engineering.

·       Partner with the Sales, Solutions, and Customer Success teams to support adoption and product alignment.

·       Identify market opportunities and help shape go-to-market strategies for new releases and SDKs.

Developer Evangelism & Advocacy

·       Represent Agora at global and regional AI and developer conferences, meetups, and industry events.

·       Deliver keynotes, technical talks, and hands-on workshops that highlight Agora’s platform capabilities.

·       Build and nurture relationships with developers, open-source contributors, and ecosystem partners.

·       Create high-impact content (tutorials, blogs, code samples, videos) to educate and inspire the developer community.

·       Foster authentic engagement through online channels (GitHub, Discord, X, LinkedIn, and community forums).

Cross-Functional Partnership

·       Collaborate with Product Marketing on positioning, messaging, and launch readiness.

·       Provide structured feedback to Product Managers and Engineering on market trends and developer sentiment.

·       Partner with Developer Relations to amplify ecosystem initiatives, hackathons, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

·       5–7 years of experience in product, developer advocacy, or technical field roles within SaaS, AI, or infrastructure technology.

·       Hands-on experience with APIs, SDKs, or AI/ML frameworks (Python, Node.js, or similar).

·       Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in the local language and English.

·       Comfortable presenting at conferences and engaging on social channels or public forums.

·       Strong understanding of the developer ecosystem, open-source culture, and community-driven growth.

·       Passion for AI, real-time engagement, and the future of human-machine interaction.

·       Willingness to travel (25–40%) for events, customer visits, and field engagements.

Preferred Attributes

·       Experience in conversational AI, voice/video APIs, or developer platform companies (e.g., Twilio, OpenAI, Hugging Face).

·       Previous success in building or scaling a developer community.

·       A creative storyteller who can connect business impact to technical depth.

·       Self-starter comfortable working across global, fast-moving teams.
