About the role


We’re seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Creative Manager to join our growing team and support exciting projects for our B2B clients. If you’re passionate about developing visual communication, brand identities, and design systems to drive business success, then read on!


In this role, you will lead and direct the creation of visual assets that align with the client’s marketing strategies and goals. With your expertise, you will also produce and oversee creative solutions that meet the client’s marketing initiatives. Additionally, you will lead a team of designers and video editors and establish design standards to hold them accountable to standards for consistent, top-quality results.



What you'll do


Design Management & Production

  • Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet client objectives, deadlines, and budget.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes for design operations to enhance collaboration and efficiency across departments.
  • Direct the creation of compelling digital and print designs for marketing campaigns, websites, social media, and advertising.
  • Champion and evolve client brand identities, ensuring consistency and integrity across all visual communications.
  • Drive UX/UI strategy and enhancements to improve website performance and user engagement.
  • Collaborate with the video team to create and design compelling graphic elements for video production projects, including lower thirds, titles, and storyboards.
  • Act as the primary design point of contact for key clients, translating their goals into powerful visual solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and refine scalable processes and workflows for the design team to boost efficiency, improve cross-departmental collaboration, and ensure a consistently high standard of output.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of graphic designers, video editors, and creative contractors, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Manage resource allocation, ensuring designers are effectively assigned to projects based on skill and availability.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance discussions, and annual reviews to support the career development of your direct reports.
  • Onboard and train new designers and contractors to get them up to speed quickly and effectively.
  • Proactively identify and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.

Client Consultation & Strategy

  • Oversee all phases of design projects, from initial concept and strategy through to final execution and delivery, ensuring all work aligns with client objectives, stays within budget, and meets project deadlines.
  • Lead client-facing meetings and presentations, effectively communicating design concepts and strategic rationale.
  • Facilitate design strategy calls to understand client needs, define project goals, and align on visual direction.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on design best practices, industry trends, and innovative solutions to help them achieve their business objectives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of advertising, marketing, or ad agency experience working as an art director
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of creative professionals
  • 7+ years of agency experience as a lead designer or creative manager.
  • Strong portfolio showing experience in telling stories across multiple platforms
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas with marketers, executives, product managers, designers, and developers
  • Ability to lead discussions, presentations, and design-thinking exercises
  • Ability to inspire and coach other members of the creative team by providing collective and individual training
  • Interest in visual storytelling and data visualization
  • Advanced level of UI/UX knowledge
  • intermediate level of HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Basic to Intermediate level of video editing knowledge using Adobe After Effect and/or Adobe Premier
  • Is highly proficient in using design tools such as Figma, and Adobe, and eager to learn new technologies
  • Excellent client-facing and internal team communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for online channels and conference calls
  • Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and can self-manage and self-organize tasks and projects
  • Adept at self-managing tasks and projects in a virtual workplace and virtual tools
  • Able to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, problem-solve, and improvise when necessary
  • Able to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and clients across multiple time zones
  • A desire to work hours aligning with North America's Eastern time zones
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Open to receiving feedback and applying it for performance and process improvement
