About The Role

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Video Production Manager with documented experience in SaaS and B2B industries to lead our video production team. The Video Production Manager will lead the video department and oversee video projects through from concept development to post-production & delivery. The video production manager will work closely with our creative team, account managers, and clients to elevate clients' brand and digital presence and ensure that all video projects align with their marketing strategies. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of video production processes.



Your Main Responsibilities Will Include: 

Video Management & Production

  • Collaborate closely with the creative team and account managers to create video concepts, and develop storyboards for videos

  • Create product demos and explainer videos using digital assets, screen recordings, and animations.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and ensure it is effectively translated into the final product.

  • Coordinate planning of video shoots and assist with development of production schedules

  • Editing of video and audio projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/SFX, media management and archiving project media

  • Assist with the collection of stock footage, screen recordings, and other video assets needed for client projects

  • Evaluate edited footage to ensure it matches the story from the script and meets the narrative agenda of the film's creators

  • Combine visual footage with animations, audio sound effects, dialogue, ambient sound, and music to make engaging content through computer editing software programs. 

  • Create different versions of videos to optimize for various social media platforms (i.e. teaser video for podcast episode) 

  • Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to the client's specifications

  • Manage and maintain quality control on all video deliverables to ensure Aimtal and client standards are met 

  • Keep all video and audio files organized and manage a video library for each client and project

  • Support in evaluating and providing recommendations for analytics and performance of video content on social media

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production.

  • Implement relevant tools and techniques to enhance the efficiency and quality of video production processes.


Team Management 

  • Lead and manage a team of video editors and motion graphic designers by providing coaching, training, and feedback consistently to foster a cohesive and motivated team

  • Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to meet project demands.

  • Ensure that the team has the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality video content.

  • Participate and collaborate with Account Managers & Project Managers on resource management and allocation of video editors and motion graphic designers across client projects 

  • Hold video editors and motion graphic designers accountable for owning outcomes on client projects, workload, self-management, client management, learning, process development, and OKRs

  • Conduct ongoing 1:1s and weekly check-ins with each direct report 

  • Onboard and train new video editors and motion graphic designers and contractors 

  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members

  • Collaborate with Creative Lead to align project priorities with overall organizational goals

  • Identify and resolve conflicts and issues that may arise among direct reports and team members on client and/or internal projects

  • Conduct and deliver annual performance reviews to direct reports 

  • Conduct ongoing performance discussions in 1:1s and provide written feedback to your direct reports

  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, share best practices, and address challenges and solutions

  • Celebrate achievements and recognize outstanding performance to boost team morale and motivation



About You

You may be a good fit for this role if…

  • 7+ years of advertising, marketing, or ad agency experience working as a video editor

  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of creative professionals

  • 7+ years of proven experience in video production management, with a strong focus on team leadership.

  • Strong portfolio showing experience in telling stories across multiple platforms

  • Documented experience in SaaS and B2B industries

  • In-depth knowledge of video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas with marketers, executives, product managers, designers, and developers

  • Ability to lead discussions, presentations, and brainstorming sessions

  • Professional experience with multi-cam video shoots, 3 point lighting and filming interviews

  • Ability to inspire and coach other members of the video department by providing collective and individual training 

  • Experience with Lottie/JSON animations, 3D animation and Cinema 4D 

  • Strong understanding of digital asset management and remote organization

  • Efficient with Livestream events and platforms such as StreamYard, Wistia or BrightCove

  • Experienced with video ads for social media and KPI monitoring

  • Excellent client-facing and internal team communication skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for online channels and conference calls

  • Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and can self-manage and self-organize tasks and projects 

  • Adept at self-managing tasks and projects in a virtual workplace and virtual tools 

  • Able to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, problem-solve, and improvise when necessary

  • Able to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and clients across multiple time zones 

  • A desire to work hours aligning with North America's Eastern time zones

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills

  • Open to receiving feedback and applying it for performance and process improvement
