About the role

As a Plumbing Assistant Superintendent at Airo Mechanical, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating plumbing projects. You will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure the successful completion of plumbing installations, adherence to safety standards, and efficient project management. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.


What you'll do

  • Assist the Superintendent in overseeing plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to plumbing crews, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure that plumbing installations meet quality standards and adhere to industry codes and regulations.
  • Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines on the job site.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the job site, ensuring their availability when needed.
  • Assist in resolving any project-related issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, change orders, and inspections.
  • Interact with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive client experience.
  • Assist in monitoring project costs and managing expenses effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Plumbing Assistant Superintendent in commercial or industrial plumbing projects.
  • Experience with email and project management software for effective communication and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing project requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to use technology systems for communication and project management.
  • Frequently remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Frequently makes substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Frequently moves and raises materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequently communicates with the public (e.g., potential clients, job candidates, vendors) via phone, email, and in-person, as well as colleagues, on assigned tasks and projects.
