Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Tool Room Coordinator and Attendant to join our team. This role involves overseeing the overall organization, maintenance and distribution of tools and equipment within the tool room.


Duties/Responsibilities:

· Inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment.

· Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage.

· Keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system.

· Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed


Experience & Qualifications:

· Experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery, special tools, calibrated tooling, test equipment, and common hand tools

· High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate

· Requires 1-3 years of related experience


Physical Demands:

This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in an indoor workshop environment. Activities may include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 lbs.


Work Environment:

The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.


The pay for this role is:

$17.05 per hour plus benefits (New River MCAS, NC)
