Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Coordinator to join our team. This role manages and oversees the safe handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Shall have overall responsibility for HAZMAT program management. This person shall possess knowledge of principles, standards, and techniques of HAZMAT management. This person must have familiarity and knowledge of applicable Federal, DOD, State, and Local regulations pertaining to the protection of the environment

Required Experience/Abilities:

· At least two (2) years of practical experience within the last four (4) years in the management, administration, or operation of a hazardous materials/waste program. The experience shall include receiving, storage, distribution, handling, and disposal of all types of material that may be utilized at the Contractor’s job site. At least one (1) of the two (2) years of experience shall include planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating a HAZMAT program for an entire organization.


· High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate


Physical Demands:

This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in an indoor workshop environment. Activities may include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 lbs.


Work Environment:

The diversity of working conditions range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
