Built from legacy organizations specializing in aerospace manufacturing, assembly and repair, Heritage Aviation, Ltd is a provider of complete components and assemblies to support primary aircraft manufacturers. As an AS9100 registered organization with over 40,000 square feet of floor space located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex, Heritage Aviation provides services and support to the vast number of local commercial and military aerospace organizations with the ability to service international clients in the same manner. Our FAA 145 Repair Station Certification allows us the authority to inspect, repair and overhaul components.

QUALITY INSPECTOR

Working hours are 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday.

This position will report directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for assuring product quality and cost-effective equipment operations by utilizing a specialized combination of skill, knowledge, communication, and technical ability.


Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspection as required.
  • Provide metrology/gaging support to shop floor personnel as needed.
  • Maintains product quality documentation by keeping accurate records such as Material Certifications, First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102),
  • Setup and calibration of standard measuring instruments such as: CMM, micrometers, bore gages, optical comparators, profilometers, calipers, height gages etc...
  • Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude and facilitates good working relationships with all employees.
  • Maintains a high work standard in a sometimes demanding, fast-paced production environment.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong blueprint interpretation and GD&T skills.
  • Strong layout and math skills.
  • Experience in dimensional inspection utilizing various inspection tools including CMM’s.
  • Advanced CMM experience preferred, IE: Programming-PC Demis.
  • Experience with receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspection.
  • Familiar with QMS like AS9100.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite), Gage-Trak, and ERP systems.
  • A great attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.

The pay range for this role is:
