IT System Administrator II
Under limited supervision, the IT System Administrator II role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining information system which may include software and operating systems on workstations and servers, network and cloud configurations or other systems as required by business operations. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining systems to achieve optimum performance levels.

Essential Job Duties:
• Lead planning and scheduling server operating system maintenance activities including patches and configuration changes according to policy.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation related to system operations.
• Analyze and resolve system problems in order to maintain operations.
• Work with staff and stakeholders to develop technology driven strategies that address current and future needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Focused Job Duties:
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 Azure environment, Intune, Purview and Exchange configurations and policies.
• Administer and support endpoint software, system baselines and remediation efforts.
• Administer and support various server applications in support of developments (i.e., Gitlab, Solidworks, MasterCAM, Cameo, ERPs, ADFS WAP).
• Perform configuration management taskings according to written procedures.
• Perform after hours maintenance and upgrade activities as needed.
• Maintain network infrastructure according to network design policies and procedures.
• Provide hands-on technical support to manage and maintain the Azure tenant and related technologies.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents or deviations assigned by security team.
• Investigate and resolve helpdesk issues escalated from helpdesk team.
• Assist with monitoring and manage vulnerability management solution.
• Assist with security and compliance audits.
• Assist with M&A integration projects.
• Travel to alternate locations as needed for projects and incident resolution.
• Serve as site ISSO for baseline security audits of classified machines.
Required Education and Experience:
• Five or more years of experience in administration and support of enterprise networks, systems and Azure environment, or local area networks and server technologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in related Information Technology field.
• DoD approved 8140 IAT Level 2 or higher Certification is required within 6 months of highering (CompTia Sec+).
One or more of the following (or similar) certifications preferred:
• MCSE - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
• MSCA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Linux Server operating systems (Ubuntu, RedHat)
• Windows Server operating systems
• Networking protocols including TCP/IP network environments.
• IT Operations concepts including incident/problem management, change management, knowledge management, configuration management, escalation procedures, and root cause analysis.
Focused Knowledge Desired:
• Azure administration experience.
• Experience with Azure AD and Exchange.
• Office 365 Administrator experience.
• Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
• Experience reviewing various system and software audit logs.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Experience in US Defense Industrial Base environment.
• Experience with Data Flow diagram and concepts.
Skill in & Ability to:
• Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
• Adjust schedule to accommodate system work after hours, including evenings, and weekends as required to support business operations.
