What you'll do
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Executives across diverse U.S. markets.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through consistent feedback, mentoring, and professional development initiatives.
- Establish clear performance metrics, ensuring team accountability for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with Albert Invent’s business objectives and growth targets.
- Leverage market intelligence to identify new opportunities in the scientific sales space, including emerging customer needs and industry trends.
- Drive consistent pipeline growth and accurate revenue forecasting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales territory design and quota setting
- Customer & Market Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor to their businesses.
- Represent Albert Invent at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex negotiations or customer challenges.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Partner with internal teams, including Solution Engineering, Customer Success & Support, Operations, Marketing, Product development, and Legal, to align on go-to-market strategies.
- Provide market feedback to support innovation and product enhancements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related scientific/engineering discipline; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience leading and managing high-performing sales teams, ideally in a scientific or technical sales environment.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales talent, creating future leaders within the organization.
- Adept at building trust with internationally-coordinated buying decision teams.
- Multiple years experience in building, negotiating and securing >million dollar ARR contracts.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a complex, consultative sales environment.
- Strong understanding of the scientific industry, including market dynamics and customer needs.
- Analytical mindset with experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales tools (Zoominfo) to drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience of internal collaboration (ideally with Customer Success and/or Solution Engineering/Application Specialist teams).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel as required (>50%).
