The Role

We need a senior consumer PM (or strong mid-level ready to step up) who's been in the trenches building 0→1 products that people emotionally attach to. You've shipped at companies like Duolingo, Whoop, Strava or similar—places where behavior change, emotional resonance, and retention actually matter.

You'll shape Aldea's core experience from alpha to PMF. This means hands-on execution: running user interviews, designing experiments, prototyping flows, writing specs, and sitting with engineers to ship fast. Strategy emerges from the work, not slides.

You'll work across Product, Design, Engineering, and world-renowned experts to build something people trust, return to, and grow through.

What You Will Do

• Own user vision and roadmap from concept through scale
• Design and run rapid experiments—weekly learning cycles, not quarterly plans
• Build habit-forming flows: onboarding, daily rituals, reflection loops
• Prototype voice-based coaching experiences and accountability features
• Conduct continuous user research—interviews, feedback sessions, pattern synthesis
• Define and instrument early PMF metrics across emotion and behavior
• Partner with Design on emotionally resonant interactions
• Ship fast with Engineering while maintaining quality and safety
• Establish user advisory council to tighten product-behavior loop

Early PMF Signals You'll Track

Emotional commitment: Users feel seen and safe. They share vulnerability. They return because it helps, not because they should.

Behavioral momentum: Day 1/7 activation, challenge completion, daily streaks

Value: Willingness to pay, organic referrals, emerging community behaviors

Need to Have

• 5-10 years PM experience, with at least one 0→1 product taken to early PMF
• Consumer mobile product experience in wellness, mental health, coaching, learning, or habit formation
• Hands-on user research skills: interviewing, synthesis, turning qual insights into product decisions
• Data fluency: defining metrics, analyzing messy early signals, building conviction from incomplete data
• Execution velocity in ambiguity: prototyping, experimentation, rapid iteration
• Cross-functional leadership: aligning teams and driving decisions without formal authority
• Genuine care for building products that improve lives

Nice to Have

• Voice or conversational AI product experience
• Understanding of behavior change models, therapeutic pacing, or psychology
• AI/LLM product experience (safety, prompt design, capabilities)
• Growth or monetization experience (subscriptions, paywalls, conversion)
• Community or social accountability features
• Content/curriculum design background
