Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced North America Business Development Lead to join our sales leadership team. This critical role will drive Algo’s global growth strategy by leading our newly established Regional Business Development team. Reporting to Executive Leadership, the NA Business Development Lead will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, driving regional growth initiatives, and acting as a key player-coach within the organization. The Business Development Lead will have the opportunity to build their team, with open roles in the USA. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of Algo’s global expansion efforts and to lead a critical function with significant growth potential.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the global business development strategy to drive regional growth in alignment with Algo’s overarching goals.
- Serve as a member of the sales leadership team, collaborating with Channel Sales, Partner Sales, and Technical Selling teams to optimize growth opportunities.
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of seven business development representatives (spanning the U.S.)
- Build and scale the Business Development team, including recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Provide mentorship and foster a high-performance culture within the team.
Business Development Execution:
- Act as a player-coach, directly engaging in key business development initiatives and sales cycles.
- Serve as a regional business owner for strategic territories, partnering with end customers, distributors, integrators, and technology partners to drive adoption of Algo’s solutions.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement:
- Work across a matrix organization to align business development efforts with channel and partner strategies.
- Leverage cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, and Engineering to deliver tailored solutions to customers and partners.
Market and Industry Expertise:
- Bring deep knowledge of the UC or AV sector, staying informed of industry trends and emerging opportunities.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of Algo’s sales strategies and business development practices.
Growth and Scalability:
- Drive the expansion of the Business Development function, with the potential to add regional managers and additional team members as the function grows.
- Develop scalable processes and best practices for business development globally.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to apply innovative solutions to our product development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the UC or AV technology sector, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in business development or sales leadership roles, including team management and regional growth initiatives.
- Agile mindset with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a player-coach mentality; willing to roll up sleeves and engage directly in sales cycles when needed.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; adept at navigating matrix organizations and working with diverse teams.
- Strategic vision to build and scale a global business development function from the ground up.
- Proven ability to navigate diverse cultural and business landscapes across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
- Experience leveraging data analytics tools to assess market opportunities, track team performance, and optimize strategies.
Valuable Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Experience with IP audio or VoIP systems.
- Experience working with IP Hardware, ideally within sales function
Salary: Base of $150,000-$180,000 + Commission
