Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center.  Under the direction of owners Mike & Sheri Williams, AKSC has established an organization that sees its purpose as helping children to learn strong VALUES with which they will set worthy GOALS and for which we must train them in the SKILLS needed to achieve those goals.  Sport training is the tool we use to achieve that purpose.



About the role

  • NinjaZone Manager with Future Director Opportunity American Kids Sports Center
    Are you ready to lead our NinjaZone program to new heights? American Kids Sports Center is seeking a NinjaZone Manager with the potential to grow into the NinjaZone Director role. If you’re passionate about coaching, love working with kids, and have a knack for keeping things fun and organized, we want you to join our team!

What you'll do

  • Coach NinjaZone classes daily.
  • Lead a team of coaches by recruiting, training, and scheduling staff, substitutes to keep classes and events running smoothly.
  • Create and manage class schedules, ensuring proper coach-to-student ratios and tackling overbooking issues.
  • Deliver and refine our high-energy NinjaZone curriculum, customizing lesson plans for various ages and skill levels while training staff on safe spotting and class management.
  • Be the go-to for NinjaZone families, handling questions, feedback, and clear communication about schedules, events, and progress.
  • Plan and execute events like Ninja Games (April & August), Jam Sessions (2nd Saturday monthly), and themed camps (Summer, Halloween, Christmas, etc.).
  • Drive program growth by monitoring enrollment, retention, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Ensure equipment is safe, maintained, and ready for use, reporting needs to maintenance staff.
  • Uphold safety standards, managing incident reports and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in coaching, program management, or youth sports, with a passion for ninja-style activities such as parkour, free-running etc.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire staff and connect with families.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle scheduling, events, and curriculum planning.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and risk management in a gym setting.
  • Bonus: A sense of humor and a love for making learning fun

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 26 USD per hour (American Kids Sports Center: NW)
