Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center.  Under the direction of owners Mike & Sheri Williams, AKSC has established an organization that sees its purpose as helping children to learn strong VALUES with which they will set worthy GOALS and for which we must train them in the SKILLS needed to achieve those goals.  Sport training is the tool we use to achieve that purpose.



Position Summary

The Swim Site Manager  is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive environment for staff, students, and families. This role manages staffing, scheduling, onboarding, facility maintenance, and administrative reporting while upholding American Kids Sports Center’s commitment to excellence in service, safety, and programming.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll & Time Management

  • Review, verify, and submit employee payroll accurately and on time.
  • Monitor time punches to ensure staff compliance with schedules and attendance policies.

2. Staff Scheduling & Coverage

  • Develop and maintain trimester schedules for all staff.
  • Manage last-minute adjustments, RTO (Request Time Off) approvals, and substitute planning.
  • Add and manage subs in iClass for proper tracking.
  • Handle call outs to ensure adequate shift coverage and program continuity. When working Tuesday-Saturday. 

3. Hiring, Onboarding & Training

  • Conduct, in-person, and water interviews for new candidates.
  • Issue swim orientations for new hires.
  • Create and manage training schedules.
  • Maintain weekly check-ins with trainees during their onboarding period.

4. Administrative Operations

  • Track and manage key weekly and monthly reports, including:


    • Goal of the Week


    • Age Move-Ups


    • Absence Reports


    • Drop Reports


  • Maintain staff morale and recognition through staff birthday tracking and acknowledgments.
  • Respond promptly to parent emails and voicemails, ensuring timely and professional communication.

5. Facility & Pool Management

  • Perform daily pool equipment and chemical checks to maintain compliance and safety standards.
  • Log and update Google Sheets for any new repairs, maintenance needs, or parts ordered.
  • Maintain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, renewed every 5 years.
  • Maintain Lifeguard Certification (LG), renewed every 2 years.

6. Cleaning & Inventory Oversight

  • Conduct monthly cleaning inventory checks to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Oversee restocking and update Google Sheets for any inventory needs. 
  • Maintain accurate tracking and records of all supplies and equipment.

7. Coaching

  • Coaching in water a minimum of 15 hours a week.
    • AM Coaching Shift x 1 = 3.40 
    • PM Coaching Shift x 1 = 5.40
    • Saturday Shift x 1 = 6.20 
      • Subject to change depending on the needs of the company.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience, preferably in aquatics, recreation, or youth programming.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with iClass Pro, Google Workspace, and scheduling systems.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Lifeguard, CPR Certified preferred or willingness to obtain. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds to safely instruct students 
  • Requires to be on your feet while being active for 3+ hours a da
