the job:

The Influencer Marketing Manager will manage the development and execution of influencer marketing (paid and earned strategies) and campaigns for amika. In partnership with the Senior Director, Global Influencer and Communications Strategy, will oversee and coordinate influencer activities, including identification, relationship and product management, personalized gifting, partnerships and networking, and reporting. The ideal candidate has exceptional interpersonal skills and has demonstrated success identifying industry trends, building strong relationships, and creating campaigns with authentic storytelling. They will be a strong communicator and able to balance priorities and requests across multiple projects and launches and work in tandem with cross-functional partners (social media, digital marketing, creative). This person should ideally have experience in the beauty industry and be well-versed in influencer marketing and analytics and digital/social best practices. 


salary: $90,000 - $110,000

location: remote (must be based in + have the right to work in the US)



what you'll do:

  • Continuously engage and cultivate long-term, meaningful relationships with amika’s network of influencer communities to create strong brand advocates  
  • Support the Senior Director on management and execution of amika’s macro and mid-tier consumer and professional influencer communities, including discovery, contract negotiation, strategic briefing, creative approval, and performance reporting. Heavy focus on TikTok and Instagram partnerships that support overarching brand and marketing initiatives 
  • Work cross-functionally with amika’s social media, digital marketing, brand marketing, and creative teams to fuel departmental needs and ensure that influencer selection, messaging and deliverables are aligned with brand goals  
  • Produce detailed monthly and campaign-specific reports for influencer initiatives, tracking KPIs and providing actionable insights for the cross-functional teams 
  • Proactively conduct ongoing influencer discovery research and recruitment to ensure continued growth of multiple influencer community groups based on marketing objectives  
  • Work alongside team to execute influencer and press events  + represent the brand in a professional way 
  • Stay connected with best practices, emerging social media platforms, strategies, and industry standards related to influencer marketing, public relations, and social media and how they can connect to overall brand strategies   
  • Manage the Coordinator, Influencer Marketing, who will support with discovery, community group initiatives, mailings, reporting, and competitive research. Act as a mentor and guide for Coordinator and support their career growth. 


must haves:

  • 4-6 years of experience working in influencer marketing is a must  
    Proven track record of strong results  
  • Strong familiarity with Tribe Dynamics, Skeepers, or similar tools   
  • Previous experience in beauty or hair preferred  
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred  
  • Strong knowledge of all social media platforms  
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to align and collaborate cross-functionally  
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment  
  • Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines and accommodate for shifting priorities  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Creative problem-solver who is solutions-oriented with a positive attitude and can-do approach  
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate success of campaigns, content and programs  
  • Strong knowledge in Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines  
  • Excellent creative judgement to identify future on-brand partnerships and content  
  • A passion for beauty and knowledge of influencers is a must  


nice to haves:

  • Experience in international influencer partnerships and markets a plus
