We’re looking for a passionate, globally minded Trade Marketing Manager to support and grow our international business across end consumer retail such as, but not limited to, Sephora and Amazon, with a primary focus on the UK and EU markets, and select global retail and professional salon distribution partners such as, but not limited to, Douglass, Boots, Space NK, Cult Beauty.

 

This role is responsible for building and executing 360° trade marketing programs that drive both sell-in and sell-through, elevate brand storytelling at retail and in salons, and deliver best-in-class merchandising, education, and promotional experiences across diverse international markets.

what you'll do:

International Channel Strategy & 360° Activation

  • Translate global brand campaigns into market-ready trade programs across all international retail partners including Sephora globally, distributor-led retail, professional salons, and digital platforms.
  • Partner with international sales and marketing leadership to build annual and seasonal calendars supporting launches, hero franchises, promotions, education moments, and key retail events.
  • Lead development of international trade toolkits including sell-in decks, merchandising guidelines, POS assets, promotional frameworks, and stylist- or advisor-facing storytelling.
  • Adapt programs to account for regional nuances in shopper behavior, retail standards, promotional mechanics, and distributor capabilities.
  • Collaborate with education teams to align on training needs, artistry support, backbar initiatives, and event programming.

 

Retail, Merchandising & In-Store Excellence

  • Own visual merchandising briefs and execution across all international retail partners and distributor-managed doors.
  • Ensure all assets, artwork, copy, and specs are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure commercial readiness for launches and promotions.

 

Professional & Stylist Engagement

  • Support professional salon and distributor partners with education-led sell-through programs.
  • Equip distributor sales teams and educators with compelling tools.
  • Support classes, events, and in-store activations where applicable.

 

Distributor & Retail Partner Collaboration

  • Serve as a trade marketing partner to international retail teams and local distributors.
  • Participate in joint business planning, line reviews, and quarterly planning.
  • Manage submissions, timelines, and internal alignment.

 

Insights, Performance & Optimization

  • Analyze performance by market, retailer, distributor, and SKU.
  • Track execution and assess ROI.
  • Monitor trends and competitive activity.
  • Build recap reports with insights and recommendations.

 

Project Management & Budget Ownership

  • Manage international trade marketing budgets.
  • Track spend and manage invoicing.
  • Oversee production and distribution of materials.
  • Ensure projects meet timing, budget, and quality standards.


must haves:

  • 3–5+ years of trade, retail, and/or professional marketing experience.
  • International retailer or distributor experience preferred; Sephora experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communicator and storyteller.
  • Data-curious and analytically minded.
  • Highly organized and collaborative.
  • Aligned with amika’s inclusive, joyful, and community-driven values.
