the job:

The Account Manager will be responsible for delivering revenue and profit objectives for the distributors. This role focuses on driving measurable business results through strategic account management, budget optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. 


The Senior Account Manager will plan and execute targeted business strategies to achieve financial sales, expense, and profit targets while serving as the primary liaison between SalonCentric and internal teams including Field Sales, Education, Marketing, Planning, Operations, and Finance. 


Success in this position requires a results-driven approach to relationship management, forecasting accuracy, and account growth. 


salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + bonus

location: remote (must be based in + have the right to work in the US)



what you'll do:

Account Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Distributors
  • Connect with account stakeholders consistently to understand business opportunities and challenges
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with accounts

Sales Performance & Forecasting

  • Achieve sales budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly/annual KPIs
  • Monitor order fulfillment progress against monthly SKU forecasts and financial targets
  • Report monthly on sales performance, growth metrics, and account health
  • Maximize both sell-in and sell-out performance

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute customized business strategies to increase sales, loyalty, and profitability
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within SalonCentric
  • Assist in creation and execution of channel promo calendar using data-driven insights

Budget & Allowance Management

  • Manage and execute budget strategy
  • Ensure effective use of allowances to drive incremental sales and deliver ROI

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Partner with Planning teams to forecast all SKUs (open stock, promos, launches)
  • Participate in monthly S&OP processes to ensure forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure PO processing and logistics meet requirements

Inventory Optimization

  • Monitor and address low/out-of-stock situations proactively
  • Maintain product availability and maximize sales

Go-to-Market Planning

  • Manage planning and negotiation of in-store, digital, and marketing initiatives
  • Support new product launches and brand/product priorities

Account Calendar Management

  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of account activities and events
  • Ensure strategic alignment and execution timing

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Education, and Field Sales to develop tools, insights, processes, and growth programs
  • Execute customer programs across functional areas

Program Execution

  • Coordinate internal projects tied to the account (sampling, loyalty, gratis allocations, customer activations)

Marketing & Education Support

  • Collaborate on deal sheets, catalogs, merchandising assets, sales/training presentations, and event coordination
  • Partner with Trade and Pro Marketing on distributor-level investments for new launches and evergreen priorities

Financial Management

  • Manage and troubleshoot deductions, credits, and returns for Distributors
  • Maintain communication with Finance to ensure account payment status remains current

Performance Analysis

  • Prepare and present recaps for key stakeholders as needed
  • Analyze promotion and SKU performance metrics to assess ROI
  • Share insights and recommendations with Sales and Marketing to inform promotional planning and account optimization

Additional Responsibility

  • Responsible for new item set-up for all distributors



must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. 
  • 5+ years of account management or sales experience in the beauty, professional haircare, or consumer goods industry. 
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-location accounts (SalonCentric or other national distributor experience preferred). 
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and profitability targets. 
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management skills. 
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills. 
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM systems a plus. 
  • Ability to travel as needed for account visits, meetings, and events (estimated up to 20%)
